1. Introduction & Acceptance
Welcome to Qizie. By downloading our mobile application, creating an account, or using our website, you legally agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.
Note: We use a mandatory consent flow. During signup, you must explicitly accept these terms to create an account.
2. Eligibility & Age Requirements
To use Qizie, you must meet the following minimum age requirements:
- United States: 13 years of age.
- European Union: 16 years of age (or the relevant age of digital consent in your country).
We do not knowingly collect data from individuals under these ages. We reserve the right to suspend or delete any account immediately if we discover the user does not meet these minimum age requirements.
3. User Accounts & Guest Mode
When you create an account, you agree to provide accurate information. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials. Qizie is not liable for any unauthorized access resulting from your failure to secure your account or password.
Guest Mode: You may use Qizie without an account ("Guest Mode"). Guest users have access to core features including Daily Quizzes and the Qizie Vault. However, loss of your device or clearing your local data will result in permanent loss of progress. To ensure persistence, we recommend registering a full account.
4. Acceptable Use
To keep the Qizie community fair and fun, the following conduct is strictly prohibited:
- No Cheating: You may not manipulate leaderboard progress, streak counts, or rewards.
- No Scraping: Automated tools, bots, or scripts used to scrape quiz questions or data are forbidden.
- No Reverse Engineering: You may not attempt to decompile, reverse engineer, or extract the source code of the app.
- No Harassment: Respect other users. Any form of harassment or abuse will result in an immediate ban.
5. User-Generated Content (UGC)
While Qizie primarily provides AI-generated content, you may also contribute User Content, including: feedback, bug reports, and "Report Question" submissions; the username you select; and the avatar you customize in the app. You agree that your username and avatar must comply with the Acceptable Use section above — anything hateful, sexually explicit, or impersonating another person may be removed without notice.
By submitting User Content to Qizie, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, reproduce, modify, and distribute that content for any purpose related to the service.
6. Intellectual Property Rights
Qizie and its original content (including quiz questions, web design, code, logos, and AI-generated facts) are the exclusive property of Qizie team. Users are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-commercial license for personal entertainment only. You may not copy, sell, or redistribute our content without prior written permission.
7. mobile application stores (Apple App Store)
If you downloaded Qizie from the Apple App Store, you acknowledge and agree that:
- These Terms are between you and Qizie only, and not with Apple Inc.
- Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support services for the App.
- Apple is not responsible for any product warranties, claims, losses, liabilities, or expenses related to the App.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms.
8. Virtual Currency & In-App Purchases
Qizie may offer virtual currency ("Points" or "QP") and other virtual items for purchase through the Apple App Store. By purchasing or otherwise acquiring Points, you acknowledge that:
- No Real-World Value: Points are a limited, non-transferable, non-refundable, and revocable license to use certain features within Qizie. They have no equivalent value in "real world" currency and cannot be redeemed for cash or other tangible goods.
- Final Sales: All purchases of Points are final and non-refundable, except as required by law or the refund policies of the mobile application store (Apple).
- Expiration: We reserve the right to manage, regulate, and eliminate virtual currency at our discretion, though we will provide reasonable notice for any material changes.
9. Disclaimers & Third-Party Services
Qizie is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without any warranties. We integrate with third-party services (such as Firebase, Apple Sign-In, and AI providers) to power the app.
- We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or reliability of these external services.
- We do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that every AI-generated fact is 100% accurate.
10. Account Termination
We reserve the right to suspend, terminate, or delete your account at our sole discretion, without prior notice, for any violation of these terms or any conduct we deem harmful to the platform or other users.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our service or legal requirements. We will notify you of any material changes via email or an in-app notification. Your continued use of Qizie after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
12. Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved through mandatory private arbitration, rather than in a court of law, unless prohibited by the consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction.
